A Tuesday Like Any Other Adam watched the bell rather impatiently, but that was how first-graders were: impatient. He knew that in a few minutes it would ring, the sound bringing freedom to eight grades of students. It was the longest few minutes of his life. Ages later (it seemed), his wait ended. In no time at all he had his belongings packed away and was running out the door. Mom would be waiting in the Chevy down the street, parked in the shade of a droopy old sycamore tree. She'd ask Adam how his day went, and they'd drive home.A Tuesday Like Any Other by ~aquasynth
